California Institute of Technology

The California Institute of Technology (Caltech) is located in Pasadena, CA. Caltech heralds some of the world’s brightest minds and most innovative tools to address fundamental scientific questions and societal challenges. We are a small, collaborative community defined by our passion for STEM. Caltech has one of the nation’s lowest student-to-faculty ratios (3:1), with over 300 faculty members. Approximately 1,000 undergraduates have access to hands-on research as early as their first year.

While Caltech students all share a deep passion for STEM, their interests extend far beyond the classroom and laboratory. They engage fully in campus life through nine residential communities, more than 100 different student clubs and organizations, a vibrant performing and visual arts scene, and 16 NCAA Division III athletic teams.
